1000. Augusta, Ga. Oct. 16. 9-year-old boy killed when struck by a red pickup or SUV that left him to die of massive head injuries. Donovan L. Brown Jr. was in the fourth grade. He wanted to go to college to be an archeologist. “For some unknown reason the driver didn’t stop,” the county coroner said. “You could take a million guesses as to why. He could have been drunk, no license, a habitual offender, he could be on parole, probation, you name it.”
