431. Doral, Fla. May 22. Police officer on motorcycle at DUI checkpoint (pictured) injured when struck by a large vehicle, driven by a woman, that likely sustained heavy front-end damage.
432. Chicago Ridge, Ill. May 21. 38-year-old woman killed when struck and dragged by an SUV which fled the scene. Alleged driver later found, thanks to witness descriptions, and questioned. No word on charges yet.
433. Pueblo, Colo. May 22. 53-year-old man on bicycle struck and killed by a vehicle (no description) which fled the scene.
434. Anaheim, Cal. May 21. 4-year-old suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by “a dark colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry” which fled the scene.
435. Ludlow, Mass. May 21. 17-year-old injured when struck by “a blue, early ’90s model Chevy Blazer-type SUV with front end damage and possibly a head light out” which fled the scene.
436. Hickory, NC. May 21. 2-year-old boy nearly dies (mother and medics administered CPR at the scene) after being in a car struck by a white 1986 Ford truck from which witnesses caught the “North Carolina license tag number VVL-2630” before the driver fled.
437. Cheyenne, Colo. May 22. 24-year-old motorcyclist without a helmet suffers critical injuries when cut off by “a newer model pickup, with a dark colored top and a gold or beige stripe along the bottom” which kept going.
438. Kent County, Mich. May 23. 24-year-old man hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle (no description available) and left in the middle of the street where he was later found by a passerby.
439. Fort Myers, Fla. May 23. Motorcyclist hospitalized after being struck by a white SUV which fled the scene.
440. Tulsa, Okla. May 23. 28-year-old pregnant woman hospitalized with abdominal pain after her car was struck by a man who fled but was later found to have “blood shot eyes, strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and person, slurred speech when he talked to his passenger and unsteady walk and stance.”
