Reverend Louis Gordon said, while he and his wife Cynthia were towing an ice cream truck tied to their sport utility vehicle, the connecting rope snapped, prompting the pair to pull over near the intersection of 27th Avenue and 191st Street, in Miami-Dade, just past 11 p.m. When the pastor exited the SUV to re-tie that rope, he said he heard the screeching of tires before the ice cream truck lunged forward, pinning Gordon between the SUV and the in-tow vehicle.
805. Tacoma, Wash. Aug. 21. 30-year-old man struck and killed by a white vehicle with black trim and manufactured between 1993 and 1995 that fled the scene.
806. Fresno, Cal. Aug. 23. 31-year-old man riding a bicycle struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
807. Jackson, Miss. Aug. 23. Man injured after being struck at a gas station by a green vehicle which fled the scene.
808. Newark, NJ. Aug. 22. 21-year-old man killed when struck by a black, 2-door, coup BMW which will have damage to the front fender, mirror, and door on the passenger side.
809. Somewhere near the border, NM. Aug. 24. Border patrol agent on motorcycle hits dog, falls off is hit by a yet-described vehicle which fled.

Instead of stopping, Golden Valley police officers say Brady kept driving down I-394 until he exited at Hopkins Crossroads. There, he apparently hit another vehicle before police were able to get Brady out of his vehicle and take him to detox.

That was when a hit-and-run driver plowed into a Waipahu bus stop where Duldulao, 68, was waiting to go to church, killing her and injuring another woman.
Police arrested Richtenson Alyphios, 41, Sunday as the suspected driver. Alyphios’ license had been revoked in May because of a drunken-driving conviction, court records show. (pictured)

John Smalls got off work at Denny’s restaurant about 5 a.m. Saturday and headed home on his bicycle.
About an hour later police found him lying unconscious in the 1800 block of South Circle Drive, the victim of a hit-and-run driver.
On Tuesday, 50-year-old Smalls was in an induced coma at Memorial Hospital because of brain swelling as Colorado Springs police searched for the driver.
Meanwhile, Pete LaBarre, owner of the Denny’s restaurant where Smalls works, is collecting donations for him and his family. Smalls is single and has a 20-year-old son who’s in the Navy and eight siblings, Edwards said.
“We’ve had store employees donate money,” LaBarre said. “And we’ve had family members donate money.”
