… is about a former cop on trial for beating his ex-girlfriend, a former judge who presided with a questionable disposition, up last October. Story comes complete with allegations of a stormy relationship leading to her wanting him to feed her cat but him refusing because he wanted to watch a second college-football game before going out to a BYOB for dinner.
Leslie Fleisher — who was heard belittling and lording over Lewis Palmer on audiotapes recorded onto his boss’ voicemail a few days later — seemed confused when she walked into court yesterday, after requesting a delay before she’d come in. Overly emotive. Didn’t know where the witness stand was, apparently. There were a few references to cocaine. There were pictures of her blood-stained clothes and walls; she called a different police district to have a friend respond to the scene.
She’ll be cross-examined today by Palmer’s attorney Chuck Peruto.
