Hit-and-Run America Vol. LI *Updated with two fatal hit-and-runs in Cherry Hill, NJ

An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

320. Compton. April 25. One teenaged girl killed and another injured when they were struck by a suspected drunk driver in a grey Mercury Voyager minivan “traveling about 60 mph and showed no signs of braking when it struck the girls.” Found an hour later; witness descriptions.

321. Charleston, WV. April 24. Man hospitalized after being struck by a blue car.

322. Lubbock, Texas. April 18. 80-year-old woman struck and killed by a 2008 Suzuki. Several days later, Lubbock police officers “arrested 23-year-old Zachary Doss in connection with the hit-and-run, according to police. Authorities also arrested his wife Sarah Doss, 22, for hindering apprehension.” In addition to the death, three others were injured.

323 and 324. Cherry Hill, NJ. April 24. 62-year-old man found dead in street in early morning hours; police investigating it as a potential hit-and-run. In the comments of the story, people indicate there was another fatal hit-and-run in Cherry Hill this weekend as well, involving a twentysomething man.

There was an arrest (24-year-old guy) in Omaha hit-and-run collision that left a 67-year-old woman critically injured Friday.

That late-40s actress got arrested for that hit-and-run in Cali (Cali). Lawyer’s saying she may not’ve been driving.

The family of the Jersey City woman who got killed in a hit-and-run the other morning is asking the driver to come forward. You should, dirtbag. She was a grandmother.

Here’s one from Sioux Falls, SD about a 28-year-old father of four struck by two vehicles that both fled the scene, but were caught about two miles away. He was on a bus tour celebrating his wife’s birthday. (Kind of tacky to mention that last part in the story. Which I guess makes it kind of tacky for me to mention it. Sorry.)

The family of a 59-year-old grandfather killed in a March 29 hit-and-run in Whittier (Los Angeles) pleading for help to find “a dark-colored 2005 or 2006 Infiniti G35 because of the parts left at the scene.”

Here’s one about a dude causing a van to flip and driving away in Missoula, Montana, but getting caught during his run.
