Hit-and-Run America, Vol. CX

An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

721. Shelton, Ct. July 29. Motorcyclist and passenger injured after cut off by a four-door tan Subaru which fled the scene.

722. Proctor, MN. July 31. 27-year-old woman suffers minor injuries when struck by a white Chevy Lumina style vehicle which fled the scene.

723. Upper East Side (NYC), NY. July 30. 85-year-old man suffers life-threatening injuries when struck by a gold Nissan Maxima which didn’t stop to render aide.

724. Nelson, NY. July 31. 30-year-old man fatally struck by a gold or tan Jeep Cherokee which didn’t stop. Victim was lying in the roadway prior to the hit for reasons unknown.

725. Albany, Ga. July 31. 59-year-old man injured after being struck by a dark colored truck or SUV which fled the scene.

726. Spokane Valley, Wash. Aug. 1. 42-year-old man critically injured after being struck and dragged by a small red car which fled the scene.727. Weslaco, Texas. July 31. 4-year-old boy struck by a Jeep. “The child’s mother confronted the driver and was assaulted by the man. ‘He stopped, he got out. He just saw the boy on the floor all bleeding. He started screaming a lot of bad words in Spanish,’ says Maria Leora.”

The victim of a hit-and-run wreck earlier this month led police to a car possibly involved the incident, according to a Greenville Police Department report.

From Miami: “While standing by her side in the hospital her mother, Virginia Winn, said, ‘I could’ve been preparing for a funeral, but God said no.'”
