527. St. Augustine, Fla. June 14. Three bicyclists injured — two to the point that they had to be airlifted — when struck by a PT Cruiser which drove off, but the driver, a 42-year-old man, was later arrested.

June 12. 26-year-old man suffers head injuries after an apparent hit-and-run. “Evidence collected suggests the vehicle involved may be an older model car or truck with passenger-side, front-end damage. The vehicle may have been the older style sealed beam headlight assembly, police said.”
530. Ridgecrest, Cal. June 14. Man suffers minor injuries when struck by a black SUV which fled the scene.
531. Yuma, Ariz. June 14. 57-year-old man critically injured after being found in the street, apparently struck by a yet-described car that left the scene.
532. Miami. June 14. Elderly man fatally struck by a white Kia SUV which jumped the curb, hit him and fled.
533. Savannah, Ga. June 15. 71-year-old man injured when struck by a yet-described vehicle.
534. Delray Beach, Fla. June 12. 75-year-old woman struck and severely injured by a yet-described vehicle.
535. Corona del Mar, Cal. June 14. Woman driving a Volkswagen Bug strike a motorcyclist, injuring him, and leaves the scene. Is caught shortly thereafter — shopping.

According to Johnson’s arrest report, those calls claimed she was putting a lot of people in danger by “swerving and nearly striking vehicles and pedestrians in crosswalks”.That report also claims she was “weaving”, “making abrupt stops in the roadway”, and “appeared to be yelling at the children and swinging her arms in a violent manner.”
One of those calls came from a woman who only wants to be known as Betsy. She says she was on her way home from Palace Station Casino when Johnson plowed into her in reverse.
“The light was red, and when it turned green instead of going forward, she come backwards and rammed us,” said Betsy.
