508. East Windsor, Ct. June 9. Unidentified girl hospitalized after being found on the side of the road after a hit-and-run.
509. Vista, Cal. June 9. 73-year-old man with a walker fatally struck by two vehicles, the second of which rendered aide, the first of which was a “small, dark pickup that looked like a Ford Ranger” whose driver felt it sufficient to leave a man to die in the street.
510. Iredell County, NC. June 3. Child injured after being struck by possibly a “burgundy Jeep Liberty” which fled the scene.
511. Houston, Texas. March 23 (I checked and it doesn’t look like a repeat). Man struck by a silver late-model Buick while changing a flat tire on the freeway. Driver got out, apologized, and took off.
512. Pleasant Grove, Texas. May 10. Three children injured (from 3 to 11) and hospitalized after the minivan they were in was struck by a silver Lincoln Navigator which fled the scene. SUV later found ditched.
513. West Babylon, NY. June 10. 67-year-old woman breaks hip, leg when struck by a yet-identified car which fled the scene after striking her.
514. Brooklyn, NY. June 10. Motorcyclist loses a leg after being struck by a truck that ran a red light and fled from the scene.

The woman who kept the secret for 15 months of her live-in boyfriend’s alleged killing of a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident was sobbing on the witness stand as she testified about why she finally came forward.
“I can’t take it anymore,” Sheri Cafin, 41, said during the third day of testimony in the trial of Rodney L. Burton, on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. “It’s terrible what he’s done. I know what it’s like to raise kids without a dad. He needs to tell the truth.”
