DelGozzo
323 and 324. Cherry Hill, NJ. April 24. 62-year-old man found dead in street in early morning hours; police investigating it as a potential hit-and-run. At about the same time, 26-year-old Brian DelGozzo (pictured) struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle. Apparently, he was walking home from a bar instead of driving, presumably like the drunken hit-and-run scumbag behind the wheel. (Friends of mine knew DelGozzo’s family; my most sincere condolences.)
325. Reedburg, Wisc. April 26. 52-year-old man suffers minor injuries after being struck by a white SUV which fled the scene.
326. Bend, Ore. April 26. 30-year-old man hospitalized with non-life-threatening-injuries after being struck by “an unknown year, dark-colored PT Cruiser with possible light to medium front-end damage … (driven by an) older white male adult, with light-colored hair and light-colored scruffy facial hair, about 5-foot-8.”
327. Ypsilanti Township, Mich. April 24. 11-year-old critically injured after leaving a children’s party and getting struck by a “mid-size burgundy vehicle with part of its head lamp missing and other possible front-end damage” which fled the scene.
328. Lafayette, Ind. April 25. 43-year-old man suffers broken leg after being struck by “a light-colored — possibly white or cream — sedan, possibly a late ‘80s or early ‘90s Buick or Oldsmobile” which fled the scene.
329. Fort Bend, Texas. April 24. 24-year-old man dies hours after being struck by a “newer model, red, Chevrolet 4-door pickup truck” which fled the scene after hitting him.
