5095. Delray Beach, Fla. April 30. 20-year-old woman rollerblading injured when struck by a lime-green Mustang which fled the scene.
5096. San Diego, Cal. May 1. 20-year-old woman injured when struck by an SUV which fled the scene.
5097. East Northport, NY. May 1. Man who’d been thrown from vehicle after crash struck by a light-colored sedan which fled the scene.

Denver Police said a driver was traveling southbound on Bannock Street near 12th Avenue when they tried to pass another vehicle on the right at a stop light.
The driver hit a bicyclist and drove away, police said.
Officers said a witness followed the hit-and-run vehicle and helped police find the driver about four blocks away.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) – A man pleaded guilty to killing a man in a hit-and-run crash, and Leroy “Buddy” Bronson’s family and friends are outraged that prosecutors have agreed to a 120-day sentence in jail.
A Kansas City man was drunk and talking on his cell phone when he ran a red light and plowed into a motorcycle rider, killing him, according to Jackson County prosecutors.
The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday charged Ronald J. O’Kelly, 24, of Kansas City was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
Bronson was 57 when he was killed on April 7, 2013. Two years earlier, his wife and daughter were killed when their vehicle was struck by a drunk driving the wrong way on an area highway as they were en route to a Fourth of July Day parade.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A jury convicted him of manslaughter for the hit-and-run death of a Lexington police officer. Now, in a surprising twist, he says he’s filing a lawsuit against the officer’s widow.
Glenn Doneghy is serving a 20-year prison sentence for the death of Officer Bryan Durman in 2010. He says he’s suing Durman’s widow, Brandy, for something he claims she said during an interview with WKYT.

Hit-and-run driver Thomas Letteer Jr. will spend two to five years in state prison for fleeing the scene after fatally striking a 5-year-old boy with his car in Wilkes-Barre in December 2012, Luzerne County Judge Joseph Sklarosky Jr. ruled Thursday.
Letteer, 23, pleaded guilty last month to a charge of accidents involving death or personal injury in connection with the crash that killed Kevin Miller at North and Franklin streets.
Miller was crossing the street with his parents and brothers after leaving a Christmas party on Dec. 21, 2012, when he was fatally struck by Letteer, who fled the scene.
Miller’s mother Caroline spoke for nearly 15 minutes and tearfully described watching the crash.
“You knew you hit him,” she screamed. “You didn’t stop — instead you went faster.”
Sklarosky called the case “heartbreaking and heart wrenching.”

Los Angeles police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run collision that killed a 23-year-old Pacific Palisades film director whose father and grandfather are federal court judges.
LAPD Det. John Skaggs said a man was arrested Thursday evening in connection with the death of David Pregerson.

Firefighters with the Cedar Hill Fire Department organized a barbecue benefit to honor a police officer and his family after their son was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
It has been nearly three weeks since 14-year-old Ethan Vasquez died in Dallas. Two men, who were fleeing from police at the time of the crash, were later arrested and charged with the boy’s death.
