6072. Baltimore, Md. Christmas Eve. Woman injured when struck by a burgundy vehicle which fled the scene.
6073. Racine, Wisc. Christmas. 45-year-old man fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; driver arrested shortly thereafter.
6074. Santa Cruz, Cal. Dec. 26. Man on bicycle fatally struck by a white full-sized pickup truck which fled the scene.
6075. Ellenwood, Ga. Christmas. 6-year-old boy on bicycle injured when struck by a 2004 to 2011 silver BMW 6 series which fled the scene.
6076. Jupiter, Fla. Christmas Eve. 20-year-old woman injured when struck by a truck which fled the scene.
6077-78. Hampton, Va. Christmas Eve. Two men injured when struck by a newer model white car which fled the scene.
6079. San Francisco, Cal. Christmas Eve. Police officer injured when struck by a white two-door Honda Accord which fled the scene.
6080. Ephrata, Pa. Dec. 26. 56-year-old man injured when struck by a small black vehicle which fled the scene.
6081-82. Indianapolis, Ind. Dec. 26. Two pedestrians injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
6083. Memphis, Tenn. Dec. 26. 44-year-old man critically injured after being struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.
6084. Lexington, Ky. Dec. 26. Woman injured when struck by a truck which fled the scene.

Some 36 hours after surrendering to police, the driver wanted in connection with an alleged crosswalk hit and run was released from custody without being charged.

The Crime of the Week case occurred on Feb. 3 when a 25-year-old woman was walking her dog in a far East El Paso neighborhood near Pebble Hills Elementary School, Crime Stoppers officials said.
About 10 a.m., the woman was crossing Terrell Avenue when a sport utility vehicle heading south on Red Sails Drive turned onto Terrell and hit the woman, police said. The woman was seriously injured when she was thrown to the ground and her foot was run over. The dog was killed.

Police have released surveillance footage of a vehicle sought in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that caused the death of a St. Rose mother early Thanksgiving morning.
The woman, 25-year-old Christin Allday, received life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital, where she later died.

STOCKTON, Calif. (KCRA) —A 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run crash that killed a former Stockton police officer, authorities said Friday.

In the past month, six men, women and children were left to die on South Florida streets after hit-and-run drivers struck them and sped away.
They died in Hollywood, Miami, Dania Beach, Pembroke Pines, Boynton Beach and Deerfield Beach. Among them: Two children walking home from a basketball game in two separate cities, a deaf woman who was remembered as an adventurer and a handyman who was a grandfather to 11.
Arrests have been made in at least two cases. But the other hit-and-run drivers remain at large.

But for the Hill family of East Price Hill, Christmas Day once brought enormous joy but is now a reminder of what they once had.
Christmas 2014 Jaylen Hill would have been 6-years-old. The Hill family said police have told them the case has gone cold. The driver never stopped and the family is still waiting for “Justice for Jaylen.”

Leaving bouquets and trading tales of their own crashes and close calls, the city’s bicycle community today rolled up in a steady stream to the spot in North Baltimore where 41-year-old Thomas Palermo was struck and killed by a motorist yesterday, many of them puzzling over how the collision could have occurred in such a seemingly bike-friendly spot.

A Boynton Beach family is spending Christmas and the holidays mourning their 15-year-old son.
Saturday marks one week since 15-year-old Khiar Raymond was killed in a hit and run. No arrests have been made in the case yet, but police do have a person of interest.
The teen’s family is pleading for the driver who hit Khiar to come forward and give them closure.
“He had a heart of gold. He lived life to the fullest, that was his saying ‘live life the fullest,'” said Doniel Favors, Khiar’s father.

JERSEY CITY (WABC) — A short trip to the mailbox turned into a close call for 41-year-old Sadia Munir, when a car nearly knocked her unconscious in the middle of the Montgomery St near Mill Road – and kept going.
“That’s like cold blood – at least the person could stop,” says Sadia’s husband, Munir Mughal.
Sadia’s 13-year-old daughter, Sadra found her mother a short time later, bleeding near their front doorstep.
“I told her oh my God, you’re bleeding very badly – she’s like, ‘I don’t know, I feel very lightheaded, I can’t feel anything,'” said Sadra.
