Weekend Reading Roundup (Lost Edition)

4 piece chicken, 8 piece chicken...

If there was some sort of journalistic-hiatus-on-Mother’s-Day lesson in journoclasses, I must’ve blown that lecture off onaccount of a Stone Balloon Thursday quarter-beer night. Alas, I twasn’t prepared for today. (Fine, the Lynne Abraham column in the Inky and the baby-morals piece in the Times magazine get honorable mentions).

But, my recommendation takes the form of Entertainment Weekly’s Lost-finale-preview issue. Recaps of past seasons. Predictions and musings about the rest of this one. Keepsake.

P.S. If I read another article about the “new” season of Friday Night Lights, I will be forced to post spoilers about each week’s episode. Which aren’t new at all. They already aired on DirecTV. And, get this: Coach Taylor, exiled to the black high school in Dillon, sees a side of the world oft-ignored by white folk. And, also get this: his principal wife faces blowback from the football community. (But does Coach turn the flagging football program around? And, does Mrs. Taylor stick around Dillon High after having a run-in over a heated social issue? I already know. Let’s just say, oh, don’t make me tell you.)
