Sandwiched between the Philadelphia Museum of Art and iconic Boathouse Row sits the Fairmount Water Works, the city Water Department’s “Watershed Education Center.”
The views of the Schuylkill River, waterfall, highway, treelines and Philly Zoo Balloon from its expansive patios and pagodas are to die for.
And fish from.
And maybe catch a meal at the exquisite Water Works Restaurant and Lounge.
Marring those scenic vistas at the national-historic monument are profane scribblings along the bannisters and beams.
Please, someone — whether it be the Philadelphia Water Department or Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection or Schuylkill Banks or anyone else related to this gem of an attraction — clean that stuff up posthaste.
And to those doing the defacing, I’ll type in an language you understand: Knock it the fuck off, assholes.
