I’ve been rather outspoken about my disdain for WIP’s afternoon program. Heck, I’ve even written about it on PhillyVoice. To wit:
To WIP Operations Manager Andy Bloom: Why do you hate Philadelphia so much that you hired someone like Josh Innes to poison our airwaves with irrelevant chatter set to the background noise of Spike “Nepotism Prince of Philadelphia” Eskin’s Salacious Crumb impersonation? It’s not even a Stern-show knockoff; it’s a knockoff of a Stern-show knockoff. It’s bad, no matter what your lowest-common-denominator ratings numbers say, and you bring everybody else at the station down by allowing it to continue.
Harsh? Sure. But why sugarcoat the world? Anyway, within a couple Saturday hours, someone posted a Star Wars-related quote from the Nepotism Prince of Philadelphia on my Facebook page, and then I saw him on The 700 Level with Gonzo. See below:
Despite not following him (and having him muted) on Twitter, I asked myself after a couple Mad Elfs, “Let’s see what the Nepotism Prince of Philadelphia has been Tweeting about, shall we?”
Well, we shan’t. Because apparently the NPP doesn’t take to kindly to legitimate criticism. See below:
Sure, I have no idea when that happened, but I’ll still type “sad face emoji” here. Now, how will I be able to hear about — oh, who am I kidding, this has absolutely zero impact on my, or anyone else’s, life.
In fact, I’m not even gonna join #TeamBlockBack for I’d hate to deprive the NPP of the chance of seeing my RT’d reaction to the show following Andy Bloom out the WIP trash chute. Besides, I don’t want to get on the church of Satan’s bad side.
