16705. The NOPD is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred this morning (April 2, 2026) in the 4900 block of Chef Menteur Highway, in the Third District. Just before 7:30 a.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female subject lying in the roadway. The victim was subsequently transported via EMS to a local hospital, where she was declared deceased.
16706. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — CHP is looking for the driver and the vehicle responsible for hitting and killing a man in a hit-and-run crash in Oildale Wednesday morning.

(WPVI) — Hatboro police are searching for the driver of an SUV who struck a 14-year-old bicyclist and then drove away Monday afternoon, leaving the teenager with scrapes and bruises. The teen, Jaden Brill, said he is still processing what happened. “I was like in shock,” he said.

Metropolitan Nashville Police Department authorities say a man was driving a 2011 Lexus sedan down Lafayette Street around 2:00 a.m. when he hit Yulonda Parham, 31, and Kanon Oldham, 27. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they died.
