5309. Minot, ND. July 2. Man fatally struck by a maroon or red 2007 Volvo semi-truck which fled the scene.
5310. Bismark, ND. July 1. 52-year-old woman injured when struck by a 2000 model maroon Ford f250 which fled the scene.
5311. Albuquerque, NM. July 1. 50-year-old man fatally struck by two vehicles which fled the scene.
5312-14. Brooklyn, NY. July 2. 12-year-old girl killed and 9-year-old sister and 39-year-old mother injured when struck by a minivan which fled the scene; driver surrendered next day.
5315. Greensboro, NC. July 3. Bicyclist critically injured when struck by a Ford or GMC which fled the scene.

5322. Madisonville, Ky. July 3. 33-year-old man injured when struck by a pickup truck which fled the scene.
5323. Kingston, Pa. July 3. Teenage girl injured when struck by a black Chevy Silverado which fled the scene.
5324. Denver, Colo. Fourth of July. Child injured when struck by a newer black GMC Terrain or Nissan Murano crossover-type SUV which fled the scene.
5325. Jacksonville, Fla. July 5. Man fatally struck by a black Mercedes which fled the scene.

NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) – It has been two years since a New Britain mother’s life changed forever, when a hit-and-run driver killed her son.
Now, two years later, she is pleading with the public to step up and help police with their ongoing investigation so she can finally have some peace of mind.
“Here I am still, two years later and we still don’t know who did it,” said Barbara Playa, who added that she still waits for a knock at her door hoping that it is her son.
Playa is the heartbroken mother of 17-year-old Jackson DeJesus, who left home two years ago to visit a friend near North and Spring streets, and never returned.
“I just want the person who did this to turn yourself in,” said Playa. “Now I need the public to put themselves in my shoes. Feel my pain. Lost 17-year-old on a hit-and-run, it’s not fair (the suspect is) still driving around like nothing ever happened.”

According to police, 46-year-old Thomas Venesky – who is legally blind – was walking home from Home Depot when a blue pickup hit him in the parking lot of the Sarg’s Mini Mart on Glen Avenue.

Casale fled the scene, according to cops, and went to a nearby residence on Bartlett Place where police say he called 911 about 20 minutes after the accident to report that his vehicle had been stolen earlier that day when he was inside a store.
Police soon found Casale’s white Chrysler van — with damage to driver’s side mirror — just a few blocks away on Frank Court between Cyrus Avenue and Bartlett Place. According to court records, an eyewitness to the incident described a white van driving away after Loughran was struck.
Casale was driving without a license, according to police, as it was suspended due to a lapse in insurance.

A retired NYPD officer accused in a fatal hit-and-run in Levittown has been indicted by a grand jury, online court records show.

SCOTT COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – Police say a woman who hit a man with her car and crashed into a yard fled the scene by getting a ride with a passing driver.
Carrie Brough, 31, of Austin is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license.

More than a year after a 16-year-old boy was killed on Loop 375, police continue to look for the motorist who hit him.
