1069. St. Charles, Mo. Nov. 13. 25-year-old man struck and killed by an identified car.
1070. Houston. Nov. 12. Man in his late 20s to early 30s struck and killed in a “hit-and-run [that] may have been connected to an earlier quarrel over noise between two different groups of people who live in the area. Some of the people at the scene said it was an accident, while others said the driver hit the unidentified man on purpose. Police said they have the license plate of the vehicle.
1071. Vacaville, Ca. Nov. 12. 14-year-old boy riding a bike struck by a car which the driver stopped, but a second vehicle described as a white truck ran him over and killed him.
1072. Miami. Nov. 14. 21-year-old college student comatose after being struck by a light silver or light gray car, possibly an Oldsmobile, driver “might be an elderly male.”
1073. Roxbury, Mass. Nov. 14. 24-year-old man who was riding a scooter struck and killed by a speeding grey or silver Hyundai SUV which fled the scene.
1074. Draper, Utah. Nov. 14. 60-year-old man riding a bicycle home from work struck and killed by a Dodge Pickup from model year 2002 to 2005 which fled the scene.
1075. Longview, Texas. Nov. 14. 29-year-old mother struck and killed by a 1992 to 1994 gold or pewter Mercury Grand Marquis which fled the scene.
1076. Bloomington, Ind. Nov. 14. Man suffers serious injuries after being struck by an unidentified car.

An Evansville police detective is trying to solve the 1981 hit and run death of a six-year-old boy to bring some closure to the family.
Three decades later Dickie Kratzer’s mom Christina Clayton, now 51-years-old, still hopes and waits for justice to be served for her son’s death.
Christina says, “My son died that day, but a part of me died too. My life has not been worth anything since that day.”
The sadness is still present in Christina’s eyes.
Christina says, “If the person would have just stopped, I could have forgave them, accidents happen. Not now, not after 30 years. This man ran my son over, and drove off and never looked back, and never regretted it or anything.”
Witnesses told police the little boy tripped and fell at the intersection of Covert and Marshall. While he was trying to get up he was hit by a green pick-up truck.
The accident was recorded as a hit and run accident, but an EPD detective now believes Clayton’s son was killed intentionally.
Detective Tony Mayhew says a man was convicted of molesting the little boy weeks before he was killed. Now Mayhew is looking for clues that may finally solve the case.
Christina says,”They may be dead now, I don’t know that. I don’t really know who did it, I just want them to come forward and give me a piece of mind, before I die.”
Detective Mayhew believes his person of interest is still alive and in jail in Tennessee for other child molestation charges.
Christina says, “Somebody out there knows something and I want them to come forward.”

Friends and family members remembered Maine West High School student Choice Taylor at his funeral over the weekend.
The service was held Saturday at the Good News Christian Center in Des Plaines.
Taylor was killed in what police say was an accidental hit-and-run accident last week. He was 17 years old. Des Plaines police released a sketch of the suspected driver. Witnesses say the suspect was driving a red semi-truck with no trailer attached.

Police are looking for a 25-year-old man accused of accidentally killing a pedestrian in north Houston early Saturday. Authorities want to talk to Oscar Rosales Aquino, who’s accused of failing to stop and render aid after his car struck the 26-year-old pedestrian.

More than 16 months after he received a four-year prison term for his role in a fatal hit-and-run accident, Kevin Dewayne Barton on Friday surrendered at the Delaware County jail to begin serving that sentence.

Two years ago, Flavia Estrello crossed a street in her Northeast neighborhood while pushing a stroller with her great-granddaughter in it.
A car they did not see struck both of them, killing 72-year-old Estrello and seriously injuring 2-year old Alianna Gonzalez, who was thrown 40 feet and landed on her head.
The car that hit them on May 5, 2008, possibly a dark-colored Mustang with a man and woman in it, zig-zagged until Estrello’s body fell off the hood. The driver kept going.

An Indianapolis police officer recommended for termination after an investigation into a hit-and-run crash with his patrol car was indicted Monday by a Marion County grand jury.
Officer Matt Elam, 40, a 16-year police veteran, was involved in a minor property damage hit-and-run crash in June and then tried to cover up the damage by taking his patrol car to a private repair shop, police said.

Police officers in Jackson arrested a man under the new super-drunk law. They say he got into a hit and run accident with his 2-year-old daughter in the car.
