Bridgeport police are continuing their investigation into a hit and run accident last week that left a two-year-old boy with serious injuries.
They have issued a flier requesting help in locating the driver that struck Corey Gordon shortly after nine p.m. on April 30 in the 600 block of Capitol Avenue.
Corey was holding his mother’s hand as she was tending to his sibling in their vehicle when the accident occurred.

Brandon Royce Melton, 27, of Palm Springs was arrested April 13 after allegedly killing Edward James Shaieb in a collision in the 67300 block of East Palm Canyon Drive in Cathedral City.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – A woman suspected in a hit-and-run crash in Palm Springs that killed a Desert Hot Springs teenager nearly a year ago was free on bail today while awaiting a June court date, as was her father, who is accused of being an accessory.
Heather Marie Brents, 30, and Russell Ted Stienecker, 69, both of Desert Hot Springs, surrendered at the Riverside County Superior Court in Indio on Monday and later posted $5,000 bail each.
Arrest warrants were issued for both defendants on Wednesday in connection with a May 21, 2012, crash that killed 16-year-old Zia Hoyos, according to Palm Springs police Sgt. Harvey Reed.
