4513. Urbana, Ill. Dec. 12. Man injured when struck by a Ford Taurus or a Pontiac Grand Am which fled the scene.
4514. Detroit, Mich. Dec. 20. Teenage girl fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
4515-18. Denver, Colo. Dec. 12. One killed and three injured in three separate hit-and-runs on the same night.
4519. Aiken, SC. Dec. 13. 27-year-old woman fatally struck by a late-model Chevy which fled the scene; apparent arrest.
4520. Canyon Lake, Cal. Dec. 14. 32-year-old Army vet fatally struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene.
4521. Bristol, Ct. Dec. 15. 35-year-old woman injured when struck by a a late model green colored Buick LaSabre which fled the scene.

4524. Sioux Falls, SD. Dec. 18. 58-year-old woman critically injured when struck by a four-door 2001 to 2005 Honda Civic, silver or light blue, which fled the scene. (Update: Arrest made)
4525. Philadelphia, PA. Dec. 16. 52-year-old woman critically injured when struck by a Dodge SUV which fled the scene.
4526. Miami, Fla. Dec. 16. 49-year-old man loses leg after being struck by a Ford Explorer which fled the scene.
4527. Thornton, Colo. Dec. 15. 63-year-old man critically injured when struck by a red Chevrolet Cavalier with black bumpers which fled the scene.
4528. Knoxville, Tenn. Dec. 16. 26-year-old man on bicycle injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

A woman accused in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Davie drove past the pedestrian’s body twice without calling 911, according to a police report.
Angela Piedra, 38, of Hollywood, had been at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino before the incident around 5 a.m. Sept. 17.
Edward Compton, 52, of Davie, was killed in the 7100 block of Stirling Road, police said. Piedra was charged with failing to stop or remain at an accident involving a death.

According to a release from the department, West Chester Police responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car at Bradford Avenue and West Nields Street at approximately 5 p.m. Dec 6. Police found Galina Demkiv, a 67-year-old woman from Oxford, PA, had been struck by a vehicle that had then left the scene, police say.

According to the felony complaint against Alampi, she told police: “I thought I hit a dark object that looked like a tire. I didn’t know I hit a person.”

Thomas Letteer Jr. calmly denied involvement when detectives first questioned him last year about a hit-and-run crash that killed a 5-year-old boy in Wilkes-Barre just before Christmas, a detective recalled Thursday.
But what Letteer did say could come back to haunt him.
The Plains Township man told police he rarely travels through Wilkes-Barre and certainly wasn’t in the city the night little Kevin Miller was killed Dec. 21, 2012. But police say evidence from cellphone towers indicates he was on his phone near the crash scene around the time Kevin was run down.
Letteer, 23, was in court Thursday as his attorneys sought to block his comments from being used against him at trial.

New surveillance video exclusively released to NBC Connecticut shows the car involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Hartford last month. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the person responsible.
Authorities are still searching for the driver who hit and killed 34-year-old Roberto Cruz of Hartford. He was struck by a car and killed in the early morning hours on November 24th.

STOCKTON – Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly hit-and-run collision that occurred in September in north Stockton, authorities said.

CLARKSVILLE, TENN. — An Army captain has been charged in connection with another soldier who was found dead from a hit-and-run wreck Saturday morning on Tylertown Road.
David Elliot, 26, who gave a Columbus, Ohio, address, was booked into Montgomery County Jail on Saturday on a charge of vehicular homicide, according to a Clarksville Police Department news release. Jail records show he also was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license and failure to immediately notify authorities of a motor vehicle accident.
The release also identified the victim as 21-year-old Pfc. Austin McReynolds, who had been at O’Connors Irish Pub and Grill, 1198 Tylertown Road, and was walking east on Tylertown Road for an unknown reason. The incident occurred sometime between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m., the release said.

Tami Erin — who played the title role in the 1988 film The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking — was arrested on December 14 for felony hit-and-run and drunk driving, according to TMZ.

SAN BERNARDINO >> A 20-year-old man remained in a coma Monday night, the victim of a hit-and-run that sent three others to the hospital and a 26-year-old Mentone man to jail.

Fort Lauderdale Police arrested 27-year-old Axel Esteban Inostroza Monday for allegedly hitting a bicyclist with his car, driving away and trying to dispose of the body in a wooded area.
FLPD said the accident happened on the 5200 block of NE 18th Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Monday. Investigators said the Inostroza’s 2003 Ford Mustang hit the cyclist, Craig Camlin, 63, sending him onto the windshield of the vehicle, rolling over the roof and landing on the back window.
A neighbor’s friend heard an odd noise at the time of the accident.
“She just heard like a thump, but not an impact,” said neighbor Tom Karrmenn. “She heard screeching and was waiting for an impact like hitting a car or something and never heard it.”
Fort Lauderdale Police said the driver was “fully aware” of the crash and did not stop. Police said Inostroza drove two miles with Camlin on his back window until he reached his home in Pompano Beach.

After weeks of review of details of a Nov. 17 fatal hit-and-run near Missouri State University, prosecutors have filed a murder charge — but not against the woman they say was driving a speeding car, hit a bicyclist and fled.
Prosecutors say Blake Basten, 24, was chasing his ex-girlfriend Shannon R. Smith, 31, at high speeds through Springfield before she hit and killed the bicyclist along Kimbrough Avenue. Basten had flashed a handgun and ran a stolen car into the back of the woman’s car, Greene County court documents say.

CALLICOON – A pedestrian struck by a car in a July 29 hit-and-run accident in Callicoon has died of her injuries, state police reported Tuesday.
Police said Judith Feldman, 60, of New York City, was struck by an unknown vehicle while crossing Bridge Street. She died Thursday, police said.
