1623. Huntsville, Ala. June 11. 28-year-old Good Samaritan crossing the street to help a stranded motorist critically injured when struck by a small black or maroon four-door Sedan with a black door which fled the scene.
1624. Somers, Ct. June 10. 54-year-old man suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by a possible PT Cruiser, or similar type vehicle, dark in color, which took off.
1625. Riverdale, Md. June 12. 31-year-old motorcyclist fatally struck by a Lincoln Navigator which fled the scene.

A video from the patrol car Sunday was driving shows him weaving from lane to lane prior to the crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol arrest report.

The case of the Lexington man charged with murder following the hit-and-run death of Lexington Police Officer Bryan Durman has taken another twist.
The Lexington Herald-Leader is reporting new information about the case it says was obtained through a video recording of Monday’s hearing where the defense dropped a bombshell, saying someone else, and not suspect Glenn Doneghy, is claiming responsibility for officer Durman’s death.
Now, though the court says the Herald-Leader wasn’t supposed to get that video, and court officials are meeting to decide if they’ll release it to the rest of the media.

Kimberly Sue Burke, 23, of Belleville, was released from jail Sunday after being arraigned on two counts of failing to stop at an accident resulting in an injury.

On Thursday, police admitted they had the wrong guy.
Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said officers identified Perez “working in good faith” with information from witnesses. They agreed to withdraw an arrest warrant for the 27-year-old Owings Mill man after a face-to-face meeting.

CORPUS CHRISTI – The woman accused of hitting and killing a man on Super Bowl Sunday on Oakhurst Drive has been indicted on a new charge of causing an accident that involves serious bodily injury or death.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison upon conviction.
25-year-old Candace Chesnutt was arrested earlier this year after police say a family member called police to report they had seen news coverage of the accident.

After eight hours of deliberations, a jury found a Stevenville woman guilty on Friday night of vehicular homicide and two other charges while the family of the victim erupted in tears.
Katie Garding was accused of striking and killing Bronson Parsons, originally from Troy, with her SUV on a darkened Highway 200 in East Missoula while driving drunk on Jan. 1, 2008.
The jury returned the verdict at 9:05 p.m. after a day of closing arguments in which Garding’s defense contended she was wrongfully charged after law enforcement pursued bad evidence.
Garding kept her head down and was visibly shaking after the verdicts were read.

Investigators arrested a Wichita doctor, Mohammad Sarrafizadeh, on Friday night on suspicion of failing to stop at an injury accident in which a 32-year-old man was killed Friday.
Police say Sarrafizadeh, arrested at his home according to jail records released early this morning, drove for three miles with the man’s body on top of his van after crashing into him on Greenwich Road near Douglas early Friday.

A Barrington Hills man, sentenced to two years of house arrest in his parent’s oceanfront Florida condominium for mowing down two men with his Porsche, is scheduled to turn himself in to an Illinois prison Monday for an unrelated parole violation.
Ryan LeVin, 36, is due at 10 a.m. Monday at Stateville Correctional Facility in Joliet, said Cara Smith, chief of staff at the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was on parole in Illinois for a 2006 high-speed chase that injured a Chicago police officer and two motorists.
In 2009, with permission from Illinois officials, LeVin went to Fort Lauderdale to look after his parent’s properties. There, while driving a Porsche, he struck and killed two men walking to their hotel.
