When Pope Francis left Philly, I left WHYY’s NewsWorks. The timing was right. I liked my co-workers just fine and all, but after four years, I wanted a NewChallenge. Which is what brought me to PhillyVoice.com. I hope you’ll bookmark the site and check it regularly.
I’ll be posting a little bit less on here, considering some of the stuff I’d consider Philly Blunt-worthy also fits into my job description of “just write about what you want to write about.”
In any event, here’s what I’ve been up to in my first week and a day at the new gig:
— Let’s (occasionally) make Philly a car-free oasis
— Enough with the pumpkin-spice craze, sheeple
— Slain officer memorialized with North Philly plaque
— Mayor Frank Rizzo returns to Philly
— R.I.P. Philadelphia City Paper (1981-2015)
— Anti-violence activist: ‘Jim Kenney ain’t out here in the streets’
