A young ballerina from Bulgaria who was hit by a drunk, teenage hit-and-run driver Sunday morning in South Philadelphia has died.
Polina Kadiyska, 22, was here to study at the prestigious Rock School for Dance Education on Broad Street near Washington Avenue.
Police say a teenage driver in an Audi ran a red light and hit her about 4 a.m. Sunday, as she crossed the street near her school after she left a nearby Chinese restaurant.
Deandre Barnes, who had just turned 19 Saturday, continued driving but stopped and fled on foot after he hit three parked cars. But witnesses alerted police, who apprehended both young men when they returned to the Audi to retrieve their belongings, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a police spokeswoman.
Kadiyska died today at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she had been on life support.
A ballerina from the Bulgarian city of Sofia, Kadiyska danced as the Dew Drop Fairy in the school’s 2011 production of The Nutcracker

Barnes should invest in Newports because his ass is gonna get traded for a carton a day.
