Thursday’s episode of Parks and Recreation revolved around the Pawnee prom, which was hosted by the show’s namesake governmental agency. I won’t delve deeply into the 22-minute narrative (which was great, especially on the heels of a great(!!!) Community. You can see the episode here.
I only mention all this because I noticed a joyous site when prom-superfan Andy Dwyer was en route to pick up pro-superfoe April Ludgate in a limo. There, Andy stood through the sunroof hooting and hollering with bottle o’ booze in each hand.
And in one of those hands — his left — he held what appears to have been a real (or replica, due to stringent cheap-fortified-wine copyright infringment regulations) bottle of MD 20/20. MAD DOG!!! I won’t go into the beauty of slugging one of the brand’s multiple flavors of quaff. But hot damn, I think that was the first time I’d ever seen a bottle of it on prime-time television.
