It was a quote from a phillydotcom story about Le Dîner en Blanc that exposed the Thursday night event’s patent importance in the grand scheme of all matters involving geopolitical relations.
“It’s important for people to come together,” 26-year-old Elan Elkai told the website, which apparently spelled his name wrong. “I think events like this promote world peace.”
This came moments before (or after) Elkai parlayed his desire for world peace into a kiss on the sidewalk.
Yes. A bunch of well-to-do scenesters blocking off a major roadway in Philadelphia to eat dinner for their Instagram accounts most certainly DOES promote world peace.
As such, this is how the 3,500 attendees who bitchslapped the bottom lines of many Center City restaurants helped regenerate symbiotic international relations.
