Took Louden over to Strawberry Mansion this morning for opening day of the Strawberry Mansion All-Stars Little League program. I wrote about this program at its inception in 2007. And, I wrote about it last year.
There’s a reason why I keep in close touch with the All-Stars, which gets assistance from the Phillies’ Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program, and it’s this: A group of adults who are committed to offering youths in a rough part of town a positive outlet, and give of themselves to make sure it happens each and every year, deserve ALL of our support. They are a credit to this city.
