Scenes From The Uruguay/Venezuela Copa America Centenario Match In Philly


Louden and I (and friends Jon and Oscar) (and Couch Correspondent!) headed down to the Copa Centenario match between Luis Suarez’s Uruguay and scrappy Venezuela on Thursday night.

It was great.

We (minus CC) found ourselves in the middle of a Uruguay fan section (from which we had to boot people from our seats upon arrival). Louden turns six years old later this month. I think he’ll long remember the evening as a unique experience.

From seeing fans of another nation celebrate their homeland in song …

… to seeing a majorly quirky goal (albeit from 100 yards and 12 rows away) …

It was cool, even without Barca’s Suarez getting into the match. Here are a few shots:
