Was down in Southwest Philly on Friday working on an upcoming story for NewsWorks (it’s a good one; will post link within the next few weeks).
Anyway, on my drive back downtown, I passed the Purple Orchid Gentlemen’s Club. Eagle-eyed readers may remember that the P.O. is where this whole jawn happened. Mine eyes wandered up atop the Passyunk building and noticed this real-men-read billboard. Seemed a quirky juxtaposition of what’s expected of gentlemen — or was it a public-shaming technique akin to a “go read a book instead of making it rain” — so I snapped a shot.
