A couple days ago, Ecuador tied World Cup-bound Mexico 0-0. Today, despite the high-end part of their roster exiled to Europe because the scrimmage vs the MLS Philadelphia Union wasn’t a FIFA jawn, they tied our hometown eleven 1-1. The Union had two called back and at least one stone-cold turned away.
Since it was closed to the public — because it’s not a game, not a game, not a game; it was practice — I’ll share video of Ecuador’s goal, some pregame pics and a note that you can read my take on the practice in tomorrow’s Metro.
