So, some fine American started messing with me either because 1) I was reallly mouthy in rallying against the Eagles game getting postponed or 2) he/she/it really supports Tucker Carlson. Long and short of it: They started retweeting from my personal account under the guise that I was criticizing various people in my staff-writer capacity at the Metro. Always knew that was a possibility. Still tweeted with venom when I thought it was justified. Sometimes, when I thought it wasn’t, too. I stand by every character.
Just thought people acted like, you know, adults and not mess with people’s livelihoods.
I strived to keep personal thoughts separate from professional work, and I’ve covered each and every story with impartiality. Even hit-and-runs. Which was difficult to do. But that’s my job. And, I couldn’t risk having that called into question.
