Full disclosure: I’ve been a Mayweather guy since I met him prior to his dismantling of the late Arturo Gatti in A.C. a few years back.
Fuller disclosure: I think Shane Mosley’s going to give him a tougher fight than he seems to think (from the HBO 24/7 series and pub-tour comments, including those I expect to hear tomorrow during his media conference call).
But, I still think he wins on May 1. (And will put my pay-per-view money where my mouth is unless they’re showing the fight at the wedding I’ll be attending at the time. I recommend you do, too. This is a solid, solid matchup.)
Because if he doesn’t, the Fight of the New Millennium with the Filipini Fightin’ Machine goes the way of New Coke.
