I’m Pulling For You, Atlantic City (and the Rest of Jersey’s Barrier Islands)

My old friend from the A.C. Press Edward Lea took this picture. It’s from the south Inlet area of Atlantic City. For those familiar, it’s past Showboat and Revel, along the inlet separating A.C. from Brigantine.

It’s just one heartwrenching shot from along New Jersey’s barrier islands thanks to Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy. I worked down in A.C. for more than four years. Know a lot of good, good people who are going through some bad, bad times right now.

But, they are strong. And they will dust themselves off and get back to life as they’ve always known it. Sandy was the curse side of the coastal living blessing/curse spectrum. Unlike any curse since the time of JFK.

Please, check out storm coverage from my old paper, the Press of Atlantic City. They’re doing a commendable job under duress.

And, help if you can.
