14661. According to police, Kimberly Alissa Espinoza, 21, ran across an El Paso street at a non-designated crossing area, KFOX reported. The driver struck Espinoza with a Jeep Cherokee and failed to stop at the scene, the El Paso Times reported. A witness then followed the Jeep, pulled in front of the driver so she couldn’t leave and approached her. The driver revved her engine and drove around the witness, so the witness shot at the Jeep’s tires, according to KFOX.
14662. Both troopers and medical personnel responded to the scene. Kentucky State Police say that initial investigations show that 48-year-old Bemas R. Noble, of Garner, was operating a lawn mower heading east on KY-550. KSP says an unknown vehicle hit Noble’s lawn mower, which caused fatal injuries. Noble was pronounced dead by the Knott County Coroner’s Office.
14663. “That was the worst day of my life… the worst day of my life,” said one of Thompson’s daughters, Auntrinique Sullivan, “Imagine your mother or father being taken away from you with no explanation or knowing that it might have been in the hands of somebody else, and there was nothing you can do about it.”
14664. State police in North Carolina said they were investigating after a fatal hit and run in Hertford. Police said the incident happened overnight sometime between 9 p.m. and 6:15 a.m. Two witnesses said they saw a man walking the road at around 9 p.m. 100 feet from where he was later found dead, according to police.
14665. The NOPD are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday (May 26). The incident took place at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Ridgeway Boulevard. Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Investigators have not released a description of the car involved in the hit-and-run. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

14667. Detectives in Tacoma are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a vehicle early Monday morning, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
14668. Police in Denver are asking for the public’s help to find a driver who allegedly hit a sleeping person in a Downtown Denver alley last week.
14669. According to the Caruthersville Police Department, on May 25, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and the driver fled the scene. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian with numerous injuries lying on the shoulder of the roadway. EMS transported the victim to the hospital, and he was later transferred to a trauma center due to extensive injuries, including a broken back as well as various other internal and external injuries.
14670. Maui police remain on the lookout for the driver involved in a crash that killed a 57-year-old man. Officials said it happened just after 3 a.m. Monday in Kahului near Lono and Kaahumanu Avenues. Preliminary investigation revealed that the man was lying in the roadway when an unknown vehicle drove over him. Police said the driver did not stop or render aid and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
14671. A man died after being struck by a driver who fled the scene in Northeast Philadelphia overnight, Philadelphia police said. The deadly hit-and-run took place late on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, — just before midnight — along the 1800 block of Torresdale Avenue, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said. The scene is not far from SEPTA’s Market-Frankford el, a Dunkin’ and other stores. “This is a fatal hit-and-run,” Small said in the hours after the crash.
14672. Johnson was able to get out of the crashed vehicle and was walking along 251 when he was hit and killed by a passing driver approximately a quarter of a mile south of North 36th Road in LaSalle County. The driver did not stop and continued northbound, police said.
14673. Two young boys were critically injured in separate hit-and-run crashes in Chicago Wednesday night, police said.

14675. A Connecticut state trooper was killed in a hit-and-run on Interstate 84 in Southington Thursday afternoon, according to Connecticut State Police. Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, a nine-year veteran with the Connecticut State Police and K-9 handler, was on a traffic stop around 2:30 p.m. just before Exit 31 when he was hit outside of his cruiser by a passing vehicle, state police said.
14676. An Arkansas woman was killed after being hit by a car in Cross County, Arkansas early Thursday morning, according to the Arkansas State Police.
14677. A man was taken to the hospital for major injuries after a car hit him early Friday morning in Sacramento.
14678. Lubbock Police Department asked for the public’s help on Thursday to solve a 2017 fatal hit-and-run that killed 21-year-old Alcadio Barron.
