Detectives say 58-year-old Nadil Ceka, of Brooklyn, was standing on the shoulder of Bagatelle Road near Dix Woods Drive looking at a disabled vehicle when a passing vehicle struck him at 1:10 p.m. The driver of the car, possibly a gray Hyundai, then fled southbound on Bagatelle Road, according to police.
15840. DENVER – A pedestrian changing a tire on I-25 on Saturday morning was struck and killed by a hit-and-run-driver and police are seeking the public’s help with any information.
15841. Chicago police have issued an alert after a 56-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in the Englewood neighborhood Saturday.

15846. FOSTER, R.I. (WJAR) — Police in Foster are asking for help identifying a man who they say hit a horse and left it to die.

15848. WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 19-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle late Sunday night in north Wichita.
15849. “Flying through air, thinking I was gonna die when I hit the ground,” Staubach said. “That hurts to know that there’s someone who left the scene, and in all likelihood could have assumed I was dead. And their biggest concern was getting my bicycle off their vehicle and getting out of there as fast as possible.”
15850. Friends of a man who was struck by a vehicle in Newark early Tuesday followed the hit-and-run driver for three miles before allegedly attacking him, authorities said.

Plano Patrol Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel were dispatched to a traffic crash involving a seriously injured pedestrian in the 4000 block of northbound US 75 on Sunday, July 6, at approximately 3:15 a.m. … When officers arrived, the pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene by Plano Fire-Rescue personnel and the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the deceased.
15852. The Auburn Police Department is seeking information following a July 4 hit-and-run in Lakeland Hills that resulted in a female pedestrian being seriously injured.
15853. Metro Police are investigating a hit and run that took place Tuesday afternoon. According to police, just after 3:30 p.m., a black Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound on South 5th Street when it crossed over Main Street onto Spring Street. This is when they struck a pedestrian standing in the median. The Hyundai did not stop and fled the scene.
15854. COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Police are searching for a Ford Escape believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian seriously injured on the north side of Columbus.

15856. SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 90-year-old man was struck and killed by a moped as he was crossing the street in Brooklyn Tuesday morning, police said.
15857. According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, a vehicle hit a bicyclist on South Avenue near Giant Eagle at 10:15 p.m. Saturday. That vehicle then left the area.
15858. A Massachusetts State Police trooper is in critical condition after he was hit and dragged by a motorcyclist in June, a Suffolk County prosecutor said.
15859. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. The blue 2015 Chevy Cruz hit a pedestrian in the intersection of Illinois and Scott roads, and drove off. The pedestrian is currently in the hospital in intensive care, suffering from multiple fractures and internal injuries, according to a press release from the FWPD.
15860. Colchester Police are searching for a car they say was involved in a hit-and-run along Route 127. Police say just before midnight on Wednesday night, two juveniles riding bikes were hit by a car on Route 127 in Colchester.
15861. CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who struck a 9-year-old girl and her father in a downtown crosswalk this spring.
15862. Two men were killed when a hit-and-run BMW driver rammed into them as they crossed a Brooklyn street early Friday, cops said. The two men, 80 and 59, were crossing Third Avenue at 52nd Street in Sunset Park around 4:20 a.m. when the motorist struck them while heading south on the avenue, authorities said.
15863. Police at the scene told Arizona’s Family that a vehicle hit the dog in the road, and when the woman went in the road to check on the dog, she was hit by another vehicle. Both the woman and her dog were pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified her as Brittany Gieb.
15864. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run they say left a woman dead in southwest Houston overnight.

15866. A bicyclist has died after he was struck by a suspected hit-and-run driver in West Hollywood, authorities announced Friday morning.
