15383. FISHERS, Ind. — The Fishers Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a hit-and-run suspect. On Jan. 17, at around 7:15 p.m., a dark-colored sedan is accused of hitting a cyclist at the Nickel Plate Trail crossing just north of Lantern Road and Technology Drive in Fishers. The suspect did not stay on scene and fled the area.
15384. A man clearing snow off his car in New Jersey was struck and killed when an out-of-control SUV slammed into him then took off, leaving the New Jersey father to die in the street. Abel Herrera was outside his family home on Alabama Avenue in Paterson around 8:30 a.m. Monday, getting snow off his car from the night before. The family’s surveillance camera showed an SUV that they believe hit him appear to skid on the slick roadway before striking the 59-year-old. Police said the driver of the other car never stopped. Herrera’s wife was sitting inside the car at the time, as the two were heading to an early doctor’s appointment.

15386. Seattle police are investigating two deadly hit-and-run crashes involving a pedestrian on Feb. 1. In both incidents, the victims did not survive, and the suspect(s) sped away from the scene.
15387. PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Police Bureau is investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a woman Tuesday night.
15388. Police in Hayward are searching for the driver of an SUV that fatally struck a pedestrian Tuesday morning and then fled the scene.
15389. A well-known 77-year-old University of California, Berkeley sociology professor was killed in a hit-and-run collision while crossing the street near Oakland’s Lake Merritt on Monday. Police said retired professor Michael Burawoy was in a marked crosswalk at Grand Avenue and Park View Terrace in the Adams Point neighborhood just before 7:15 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle headed west on Grand Avenue.
15390. A man struck and killed a pregnant teen with his vehicle in a hit-and-run crash after her family confronted him, California police reported. The 19-year-old man dropped a teenage girl off at her Riverside home when her family came outside to confront him at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, police said in a news release.
15391. RICHMOND, Va. — Police are looking for a driver in a fatal hit-and-run on West Main Street Wednesday night.
15392. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man has died after a fatal hit-and-run in Winston-Salem on Friday night, according to police.
15393. One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian Friday in northeast Albuquerque. A spokesperson for Albuquerque police said the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Comanche Road NE and Wellesley Drive NE.
