15255. Police on Tuesday identified the man who was hit by a vehicle while he was riding a bicycle along Davie Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. The victim in Saturday’s crash is 58-year-old Kenneth Solovay.
15256. A 19-year-old man died in front of his brother in a hit-and-run crash after the pair tried to cross a freeway in Houston, Texas on foot, police have confirmed.
15257. NIXA, Mo. — Police in Nixa are searching for a driver accused of hitting a bicyclist and taking off. In a press release, the City of Nixa says the bicyclist was crossing Scott Wayne Street around 8 p.m. on Dec. 16. Witnesses reported that he was hit by a blue minivan.
15258. Investigators are looking for the motorist who struck and killed a Rock Hill man last weekend. FiladelfoPortillo, 44, was identified by the York County coroner as the pedestrian struck in the hit-and-run collision. The crash happened 6:38 p.m. Dec. 15 in the 1300 block of Celanese Road, just west of the Interstate 77 interchange, Rock Hill police said.
15259. The Huntsville Police Department needs the public’s help finding the person responsible for critically injuring a man in a hit-and-run incident on Hobbs Island Road on Dec. 12 just after 5 p.m.
15260. Police are searching for a suspect after he struck a cyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Manhattan on Wednesday. The incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. at Mercer Street and West 3rd Street in Greenwich Village.
15261. Police say the driver got out of the vehicle, dragged the victim to the side of the road and then got back into the car and drove off. The man struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver has been identified by police as 74-year-old Jeffrey Frank, of Hewlett.
15262. The Kansas City Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
15263. Police said they hope a photo of a bearded man behind the wheel of an SUV heading into Philadelphia will help them track down the hit-and-run killer of a woman who was launched more than 200 feet out of her shoes.
15264. The Detroit Police Department is seeking help regarding a hit-and-run near the campus of Wayne State University.

15266. “One guy comes in and he gets $35 for gas on the other side, I think he was the first one to notice because he went out in the middle of the street to block traffic,” the man said. “I didn’t know what was going on, and then a few minutes later, we realized that someone got hit, and a bunch of customers ran in to tell me to call the cops. Then five minutes later, a bunch of cops pulled up.”
