16749. Philadelphia Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in the Hunting Park section of the city. Officers were called to Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, they found a 22-year-old man lying in the roadway. He died at the scene.

The Independence Police Department said emergency crews responded just before 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, to the area of N. M-291 Frontage Rd. and 3rd Terr. after reports of a crash.

16765. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department says a man is in the hospital after he was hit by a truck driver on Thursday morning.
16766. Police in Redwood City are trying to identify a suspect in a fatal pedestrian hit and run this weekend, the department said Tuesday. On Sunday at about 9:45 p.m., a 72-year-old woman was near the intersection of Middlefield Road and Beech Street when she was struck by a vehicle. Officers arrived and she was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and died.
