Hit-and-Run America, Vol. LXVIII

Lillian White

Lillian White

An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

420. Hyannis, Mass. May 18. 47-year-old woman in a wheelchair killed when struck by a “dark-colored, low-to-the-ground compact car, possibly a 4-door sedan” which proceeded to leave her there to die in the street. Lillian White (pictured) was engaged.

421. Minneapolis, Minn. May 18. A 60-year-old man named George Washington Jr. was injured when he and his scooter was struck by red Ford Expedition which left the scene after the driver stopped to make sure George didn’t die.

422. Lancaster County, Pa. May 20. Bicyclist fatally struck and dragged a block by a “compact model or hatchback … likely (with) front end and undercarriage damage” which fled the scene.

I wouldn’t say every hit-and-run artist is also a kidnapper and rapist. Just this one (allegedly).

And I quote: “A (Chicago) man was critically injured when a cab drove off while he was still leaning inside the vehicle.”
