An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.

398. Irving, Texas. May 4. 49-year-old woman seriously injured when struck by “a silver Toyota Camry, possibly a 2002-2006 model” that drove on to her lawn while she was mowing it.

399. Baltimore. May 13. 39-year-old man struck and killed when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

400. Portage, Wisc. May 13. 47-year-old mother of two struck by two cars and killed. Neither vehicle stayed at the scene.

401. St. Louis, Mo. May 13. 66-year-old man struck and killed by a vehicle from which the driver and three passengers ran away. He was just blocks from his home.

402. Costa Mesa, Cal. May 14. Man seriously injured in front of a nightclub after being struck by a “white or silver Toyota 4-door sedan with license plate 4NHD477.” Suspect no longer lives at the address to where the car is registered.

403. Mobile, Ala. May 12. Man in his late teens or early twenties struck and killed by a “late model Ford Mustang”
which left the scene.

404. Houston. May 14. 30-year-old woman killed as a passenger in a car fleeing a grocery-store parking lot where there’d just been a collision.

405. Baton Rouge, La. May 15. Biker seriously injured after being struck by “either a 2005-2006 model Toyota Tundra or a 2005-2007 model Toyota Sequoia.”

406. Phoenix. May 14. Man struck and seriously injured by a vehicle which fled the scene.

So, that 44-year-old “lady” who tried to run over a couple of staties at Gettysburg? Yeah, she was (allegedly) huffing computer duster. Jesus Christ.

A 37-year-old man arrested in connection with the hit-and-run that left a Harvey Cedars, NJ police officer dead.

A Dodson, Ore. fatal hit-and-run of a 23-year-old woman in 2006 will be featured Monday on “Solved: Extreme Forensics,” a program on Investigation Discovery. (Don’t know that station, but I’ll try to DVR it.)
