5514. Dayton, Ohio. Aug. 17. Woman injured when struck by a minivan which fled the scene.
5515. Hemet, Cal. Aug. 15. 94-year-old man injured when struck by an Oldsmobile which fled the scene.
5516. Rockford, Ill. Aug. 7. 55-year-old man fatally struck by a 2004-2008 Chevy Malibu or Malibu Classic which fled the scene.
5517. Bronx, NY. Aug. 18. 50-year-old woman critically injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

5523. Sevierville, Tenn. Aug. 15. 7-year-old boy injured when struck by a beige or gold station wagon which fled the scene.
5524. Cave City, Ky. Aug. 14. 15-year-old boy injured when struck by a red Ford truck which fled the scene.

Birmingham police are searching for Sylvester Corderyl Taylor, 25, as a suspect in the case, according to Lt. Sean Edwards. Anyone with information about Taylor can call (205) 254-7777 or (205) 254-6555.

Police are looking for a woman for questioning in connection with a July 5 hit-and-run fatality on Third Street North, a month after a man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Janelle Marie Davis on charges of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact, police said. Efforts to locate her have been unsuccessful.

Police said it all escalated after an argument about drugs at a nearby Sunoco gas station.

Police have arrested a Long Island man, charging him with hate crimes for allegedly calling a Sikh man a terrorist before running him over.
Joseph Caleca, 55, of Setauket, is charged with attempted murder and felony assault, both as hate crimes, in connection with the July 30 incident.
