GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A 55-year-old man has surrendered in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 4-year-old girl the day before.
Shant Badleean of Glendale walked in to a police station with his family Saturday night and was placed under arrest, according to the Glendale Police Department. He’s been charged with felony hit and run. His bail is set at $50,000.
The news came shortly before family and community members held a candlelight vigil for Violeta Khachaturyan.

Amanda Hagelstein was running across Delaware Ave. when she was struck by a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by Kyle Loyd, according to Newark Police. She was taken to Christiana Hospital where she died from her injuries.
