6225. Everett, Wash. Jan. 26. 53-year-old woman fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

6227. Miami-Dade, Fla. Jan. 28. 22-year-old man badly injured when struck by a champagne-colored Lincoln which fled the scene.

6230. Oberlin, Ohio. Jan. 29. Man in wheelchair injured when struck by a gold 2010 Prius which fled the scene.

Emilio Simon, 50, was crossing the street in the 1200 block of West Francisquito Avenue the night of Jan. 23 when he was struck by what appeared to be a silver 1997 to 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to Officer Eddie Flores.
The La Puente resident was hit around 8:10 p.m.
He remains hospitalized in “extremely critical condition.”
