5572. North Cordoris Twp., Pa. Aug. 31. Pedestrian injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5573. Kingsford, Mich. Sept. 1. Bicyclist injured when struck by a white Toyota pickup which fled the scene.
5574. San Antonio, Texas. Aug. 31. 66-year-old man fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5575. Houston, Texas. Aug. 31. Man walking with crutches fatally struck by a vehicle which left its license plate behind when it fled the scene.
5576. Sacramento, Cal. Sept. 1. 18-year-old woman fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.
5577. Minneapolis, Minn. Sept. 1. 23-year-old man injured when struck by a white Cadillac which fled the scene; driver arrested shortly thereafter.
5578. Hampton, SC. Sept. 1. Man fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5579. Renton, Wash. Sept. 2. Man in his late 30s critically injured when struck by a white Dodge Caravan which fled the scene.
5580. Granite City, Ill. Aug. 28. 54-year-old man on bicycle fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5581. Raleigh, NC. Sept. 3. 50-year-old man injured when struck by a sedan which fled the scene.

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Suffolk County police have released a surveillance image of a dark-colored minivan they said was involved in a hit-and-run last month in Central Islip.
Edgar Abrego, 25, suffered serious head injuries when he was struck while crossing Carleton Avenue at Brightside Avenue around 9:25 p.m. Aug. 17 , police said.
The minivan fled the scene and police believe the driver’s side mirror and front windshield may have been damaged.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A teen driver accused in the 2013 hit-and-run death of 4-year-old Ariel Russo has been arrested again for allegedly dragging and injuring a police officer during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Franklin Reyes Jr., 18, was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and unlicensed driving, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Deputies are still looking for a driver who critically injured a man in a road rage incident.
Surveillance video shows the drivers in the Blake’s parking lot near Coors and Arenal on Sunday evening.
After words were exchanged, Jose Cuervo got back in his black truck and the driver of the white truck rammed him.
Cuervo got out, grabbed onto the truck, and was dragged. When he lost his grip, he was run over by the other driver.
His family says he’s suffered severe head injuries. Deputies are still trying to find the driver of the white truck.

PITTSBURG, Calif. — Two Bay Point brothers have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that killed a 50-year-old woman walking in Pittsburg on Sunday evening, a police captain said Wednesday.

Matthew “Fat” Cousan, a convicted heroin dealer released from federal prison in March, was arrested Tuesday night and booked with obstruction of justice and accessory to manslaughter.

A vehicle struck Zofia Pepple, 2, of New Town on 11th Ave. SE in Minot shortly before 6:30 Sunday evening.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – The family of a man hit by a vehicle last week in Baton Rouge say they have taken him out of a medically-induced coma, but his condition remains dire as police desperately search for the driver who hit him.
The accidents happened on Aug. 25 when police say Edwin Davis, 55, was walking his bike across E. Washington Street and was hit by a car. Since the accident, Davis has been in a medically induced coma to reduce swelling in his brain. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. The Davis family says finding the person responsible could help ease their pain.
