6845. Edison, NJ. July 5. 31-year-old man on bicycle injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
6846. North Andover, Mass. July 5. 44-year-old man injured when struck by a white older model Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable which fled the scene.
6847. Prairie Grove, Ill. July 5. 14-year-old boy on bicycle injured when struck by a maroon or red Ford pickup truck which fled the scene.
6848. Bountiful, Utah. July 5. 57-year-old woman critically injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

6860. Richmond, Va. July 8. 5-year-old girl injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; driver later returns to scene.

There’s a new push by Moraine Police to find the driver in a deadly road rage incident over the memorial day weekend.

Moraine Police have received a handful of tips since releasing the sketch last week, but say it’s not enough. They need your help. Police released a composite sketch of the suspect.
They also released this stock image of the car they said the suspect was driving. They said it’s a 2009 or newer Dark Red Ford F 1-50 with chrome rails and wheels. Someone driving a truck like the one police described hit and killed Orsa Young, a mother of three young children.

Monday night his friends gathered to raise money for funeral expenses and his family launched a pedestrian safety campaign in his name.
“So that we can make that street safer,” said Genie Dee, Gupta’s mother. She wants the city to consider street surfaces that will slow traffic, better lighting and marked pedestrian crossings.
“So that no other families have to go through what we have gone through and will be going through with the loss of our son,” says Dee.
“Bapi was a friend to anyone who really needed a friend,” says Bill Baum who attended an event at a south city bar to raise funds for funeral expenses for Gupta’s family.
Gupta’s mother says any additional money will go to what she’s calling the Bringing Awareness Pedestrian Initiative Campaign (BAPI Campaign).

GRESHAM, Ore. — Dawn North knows just how close she came to dying when a car slammed into her as she crossed West Powell at 182nd in Gresham Sunday night around 11:30.
“If I would have been killed, my kids would have had no mom,” says North.
Instead, North considers herself lucky.
She ended up in the hospital with a broken toe and a lot of bruises, but no serious injuries.

A young Albuquerque woman accused of a deadly drunken driving accident told police she had had only one 40-ounce mug of beer – which doesn’t click with her blood alcohol level. Police lapel camera footage of last month’s arrest of 23-year-old Jessica Lucero shows cops didn’t buy her story at all.

The state said they were unable to file charges against Socolov because, “Recently, the Florida Supreme Court in State v. Dorsett require the driver actually know a crash involving injury or death had occurred. In this case, while Socolov knew her vehicle had sustained damage, there is no evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she knew her vehicle struck Richard Flaherty.”

NORTH BERGEN — The owner of the car that struck and killed a 20-year-old from North Bergen in November instructed the driver to hide the vehicle and tried to trick police into thinking that the car was stolen, officials said on Wednesday.
Authorities arrested Sergio Ferreyra, 28, of North Arlington, on Tuesday for telling the driver in the hit-and-run to hide his 2010 Nissan Rogue and to clean and fix the damages following the crash, the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
