NMSP say that the preliminary investigation indicated Ruben Benjamin Valenzuela, 22, of El Paso, TX, was walking southbound on State Road 478 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
According to NMSP, they are searching for a Dodge Ram pickup truck, possibly black or a dark paint color that may have been involved with the fatality. The vehicle sustained damage to the right side headlight and possible damage to the grill. The right side mirror may also be missing. The pickup may possibly have a camper shell on it.
