Before Carrigan was hit, the suspect police identified as 42-year-old Natalia Karia of Minneapolis, tried to hang a 16-month-old boy she was caring for at her home daycare. Police said Karia fled in her minivan when another parent walked in and caught her.
That interaction started a 13-minute rampage that luckily ended with no deaths.

A hit-and-run in Brooklyn Park now has a fatality, after the death of a 23-year-old man who was run over two weeks ago. Whoever was behind the wheel has yet to come forward.
Seth G. Bennett, of Brooklyn Park, died at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after suffering a multitude of injuries, the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office said Saturday. Bennett’s family said he was taken off life support on Thursday night.

Officers conducted a long investigation following the crash and believe 21-year-old Mariah Apodaca was involved. Apodaca, pictured above, has a warrant for hit-and-run involving injury, hit-and-run failed to notify police, tampering with physical evidence and false reporting, among other crimes.

Evanston bystanders stopped a driver from fleeing the scene of a crash that critically injured a 20-year-old man Sunday afternoon, according to a news release from Evanston police.
