953. Albuquerque, NM. Oct. 3. Young boy suffers minor injuries after being struck by a gold Windstar minivan which slowed down as the driver yelled at the boy before driving off.
954. Bergenfield, NJ. Sept. 29. 29-year-old woman on bicycle injuried after being struck by a school bus that didn’t stop at the scene.
955. Canton, Ohio. Oct. 1. 32-year-old father of three killed after being struck by an undescribed car which left him to die in an alley two hours later. Said a relative, “I feel you have a cruel heart, heartless person and through your own conscience, you ought to come forward to this, you ought to face up to this.”
956. Treasure Island, Fla. Oct. 4. 34-year-old man injured after being struck by a red hatchback, possibly a Nissan, with tinted windows.
957. Norman, Okla. Oct. 6. 68-year-old man suffers critical injuries after being struck by a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck from which the driver ran.
958. Albany, Ga. Oct. 5. 55-year-old man injured when struck by a white car which fled the scene.
959. Sarasota, Fla. Oct. 4. Pedestrian fatally struck by an undescribed car. Identity withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
960. Washington, D.C. Oct. 7. 24-year-old woman struck and killed by an SUV which fled the scene. “A bicyclist pursued the SUV long enough to note its license plate, and passed the information on to police, police said. The SUV and its female driver have since been located.”
961. Miami. Oct. 6. 17-year-old girl injured after being struck by a red Pontiac ran her over repeatedly while she tried to avoid getting shot outside of school. The car was found abandoned. “She tried to run away from the fight and then they started shooting. Then the car hit her and dragged her down the street and ran over her a second time,” said her mother.

A hit-and-run driver who struck an elderly Taranaki man who later died may never be found, police say.
Dementia patient Brian Davis, 79, was found lying on State Highway 3 north of Eltham on September 12.
He had suffered multiple fractures to his legs and pelvis and later died in hospital.
Mr Davis had wandered off from Mercy Jenkins Rest Home with another elderly man earlier in the day.
