1035. Los Angeles. Oct. 31. 3-year-old trick-or-treater and mother hospitalized — the child with serious injuries — after being struck by a red Toyota which slowed down after hitting them, then drove on. According to reports, the contents of the girl’s bucket of candy were strewn across the street.
1036. Brownsville, Texas. Nov. 1. 18-year-old man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled.
1037. Odessa, Texas. Oct. 31. 24-year-old woman escorting nine children for trick-or-treating fatally hit while pushing two or three children from the path of a red Ford F-150.
1038. Riverside, Cal. Oct. 31. 14-year-old trick-or-treater injured after being struck by a silver pickup truck that “didn’t slow down before or after the crash.”
1039. Madison, Wisc. Oct. 31. 22-year-old college student suffers non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a silver four-door car which fled the scene.
1040. Reading, Pa. Nov. 1. 4-year-old boy injured after being struck by a blue van which didn’t stop.
1041. Lancaster County, Pa. Nov. 2. Man in his 40s on a bicycle struck and injured by a silver or gold Toyota which fled the scene.
1042. Columbia, Mo. Nov. 2. 18-year-old female and a 19-year-old male found injured in the street; after a semi-truck with a trailer approached them, the male jumped back, but the female did not and the truck struck her.
1043. Chicago. Nov. 2. 40-year-old brother of a state senator suffers lacerations, head trauma and a broken right leg when struck by a 1994 or 1995 Nissan struck him while setting up a polling place on Election Day. Potential driver later questioned.
1044. Lincoln, Neb. Oct. 30. A fender bender in a restaurant drive-thru spiraled out of control and a hit-and-run driver dragged a man 100 yards after nearly running over the victim’s girlfriend.
1045. Dania Beach, Fla. Nov. 3. Woman struck and killed by a car and tractor-trailer. Details just emerging.
1046. Little Rock, Ark. Nov. 3. 57-year-old man found dead on the side of the road likely hit-and-run victim of an undescribed car.
1047. Fond du Lac, Wisc. Nov. 1. 54-year-old crossing guard suffers minor injuries when struck by a car which fled the scene, but was later located.

Tracy McMurtry, owner of Franklin Motors, said his repossession employees were trying to take possession of a car they had a legal title for from Valerie Meadows after she and her husband divorced and defaulted on the loan; however, McMurtry said after the repo men boxed in Meadows at a Hendersonville Mapco, she purposely crashed into them and nearly hit a bystander.
