788. Sheboygan, Wisc. Aug. 19. 12-year-old boy suffers minor injuries after being struck by a black Ford 4-door sedan with Missouri license plates which fled the scene.
789. Jacksonville, Fla. Aug. 18. 63-year-old man whose badly decomposed body was discovered in the woods was the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Evidence left at the scene indicate a vehicle left the road and struck him.
790 and 791. Weslaco, Texas. Aug. 19. 19-year-old man struck and killed by a gray Ford Escort which police say took off and hit another person, who is now in the hospital with major injuries.

Police said they found Hendershot at a car wash, cleaning broken glass out of his vehicle. Investigators said he told them that he had dropped his cell phone while driving and had swerved onto the sidewalk while trying to pick it up.
Another hit-and-run artist pulls the “I fled because I was scared” excuse. Aw.
