13399. Police are asking for the pubic’s help after a man was injured in what they believe was a hit and run on Cape Cod.
13400. A Tesla driver is accused of dragging a Philadelphia police officer 100 feet in both directions during a traffic stop and then taking off Monday night. The Tesla has since been located. Video from the Action Cam and Chopper 6 showed the vehicle in the police impound lot in Hunting Park on Tuesday morning.
13401. A 52-year-old Lynnwood man was found dead in a parking lot Saturday, and the search for a suspect is ongoing, according to Lynnwood police.
13402. A Kansas City pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Monday evening after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, according to police.
13403. Las Vegas police are asking for the community’s help identifying a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that left one person dead on the east side of town.
13404. Two days after a man was killed in a hit-and-run in Crestwood, police have identified him. The Oldham County Police Department said that 20-year-old Elijah Torres, of Louisville, was killed on Saturday when he was struck while walking on Kentucky Route 146 between Bird Road and Michael Benjamin Circle around 12:40 a.m.
13405. Police in Harrisburg are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian Saturday night on the 200 block of South 17th Street.

13407. A man police believe to be the victim of a hit-and-run Monday on Route 6 in Wellfleet has died of his injuries, police said Wednesday. The man, identified as Jeffrey Richardson, 59, of Brookfield, Connecticut, died Tuesday, Wellfleet Police said in a press release.
13408. Desoto police are asking for help in catching the driver who fatally hit a man who was walking along I-35 near Wintergreen Road this week.

13410. The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian. Police say around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, a red Ford Focus was traveling southbound at Louisiana at Constitution when it struck a pedestrian.
13411. A man was struck twice by vehicles that fled the scene in Shirley Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.

13413. The Lompoc Police Department is asking for the public’s help in sharing information after a man was hit by a vehicle Tuesday night. The pedestrian was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries after police say he was struck by a white two-door car Tuesday before 10 p.m.
13414. The driver allegedly crossed a red signal light and struck two people before driving off. The two victims were a 75-year-old man from Philadelphia and 13-year-old girl, the U.S. Park Police said. The elder victim, who was later identified as Bing Wong, was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the teenager was treated at the scene and released, according to Park Police.
13415. Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver that fatally struck a pedestrian in North Lawrence.
13416. Alex Galchenyuk threatened to have police officers killed during a July 9 arrest for hit and run, according to multiple reports on Friday. The 29-year-old forward had his contract terminated on Thursday by the Arizona Coyotes days after he signed with the team. “I’m gunna chop you and your daughter,” Galchenyuk told officers during the incident, according to the police report, adding, “One phone call and you’re all dead, your whole family, your whole blood line is dead.”
13417. An 85-year-old grandpa was killed in a hit-and-run while trying to cross the street, California police said. At 9:30 p.m. on July 13, the man was with his 41-year-old grandson in Los Angeles when a car going east struck them as they tried to cross the street, according to a news release shared on Twitter by the city’s police department.
13418. A person who was trapped under a car after being hit by a hit-and-run driver Thursday afternoon in Garfield Park has died, according to Chicago police.
13419. BESSEMER, Ala. — Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Bessemer. It happened around 8:39 p.m. Wednesday night; according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s office, an unidentified woman was crossing 9th Avenue North when she was struck by a white Hyundai sedan.

13430. Kodiak police have identified the pedestrian who died Saturday night as 45-year-old Vanessa Jean Amox. Friends on Facebook identified the victim of the hit-and-run by the name Vanessa Malutin-McCormick. She was hit by a truck within a half hour of the sirens going off between the 200 and 300 blocks on Rezanof Drive and Mill Bay Road.
13431. “For this legal system to just release him on his own recognizance with no penalty that is not right, that is not fair,” said Santos’ daughter, Ashley, who was upset to learn that a judge did not set bail. “His family still has him, my family, we do not have our mother. My daughter does not have a grandmother, my father passed when I was 17. I have no living parents now because he took my mother away.”

13433. The Boston Police Department is sharing photographs and video of the vehicle that is suspected of fatally striking a 4-year-old boy and leaving the scene of the crash in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

13441. Body camera video captured the sudden death of a woman hit and killed by a Seattle police car as she was crossing the street. The investigation continues in the death of Jaahnavi Kandula, the Northeast University student who was killed on January 23, 2023.
13442. On Thursday, July 20, 2023, at approximately 10:27 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to the 1400 block of N. Fielder Road to investigate a collision between a pedestrian and two vehicles. Investigators believe a 72-year-old man was attempting to cross Fielder Road when he was struck by a 2006 Pontiac G10. The impact caused the man to go airborne and land in the left lane of traffic. Moments later, a 2016 Honda Civic ran over him.
13443. SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a driver accused of a hit-and-run accident that sent one man to the hospital.
13444. Kai McNair was a special kid who loved riding his bike. “He was full of life, full of energy, very adventurous,” said his mom Jocelyn McNair. She gathered with her community at the South Rockdale Community Park Saturday to remember her son and take a bike ride in his honor. “I’m so thankful for my community that they put this event together,” she said.
