1287. Wrigleyville, Chicago. Jan. 29. 31-year-old woman critically injured when struck by an SUV which fled the scene.
1288. Houston. Jan. 29. Man killed when struck by a small, dark-colored car, the driver of which drove away from the scene without rendering aid.
1289. Anne Arundel County, Md. Jan. 27. 43-year-old woman killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
1290. Aurora, Colo. Jan. 30. 41-year-old man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle.
1291. North Little Rock, Ark. Jan. 29. Man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle.
1292. Wayne, Mich. Jan. 29. Man in his 40s struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
1293. Dallas. Jan. 27. 27-year-old man dies after being hit and carried on the hood and windshield by a silver 2000 Pontiac Grand Am that the driver abandoned and ran.
1294. Cherryville, NC. Jan. 30. 24-year-old man and 22-year-old woman hurt and horse killed when they were struck by a smaller vehicle which didn’t stay at the scene.

Topeka, KAN. (WIBW)–Shawnee County authorities need your help finding a man they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident in Florida and is now in our area. They are looking for 30-year-old Adam Lloyd Shepard. Topeka police said a ford 500, believed to be driven by Shepard, turned up in Shawnee County just north of Topeka this weekend. Deputies and the U.S. Marshals service recovered the vehicle but found it empty.
Jacksonville, Fla. police said Shepard’s 2005 Acura was seen where a deadly hit-and-run occurred. That accident happened on January 22 in Jacksonville. Police there said a 35-year-old man died as a result. Topeka police told 13 News Sunday that Shepard is believed to be from Topeka. Florida news outlets said his facebook lists the University of Kansas as his college.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – A police officer and a sheriff’s deputy in northern Arizona have been placed on administrative leave and suspended following a hit and run collision.

Green Bay police today arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run incident that killed a man in a wheelchair on Tuesday on the city’s northwest side.
The suspect is a 39-year-old man who lives north of Green Bay, police Lt. Jeff Engelbrecht said.
John Michael Kennedy, 20, of Green Bay, died Tuesday after his wheelchair was struck from behind by a vehicle about 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Velp Avenue, according to police.

Authorities say all four people arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Denver were in the country illegally. The Denver Post reports that two of those arrested had previous run-ins with the law and their names were forwarded to federal immigration authorities.

The Medford Lakes Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in the hit and run of a 13-year-old pedestrian on Tuesday.
According to police, the boy was walking home from school on Tecumseh Trail at about 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 25 when a car struck him from behind.
The car is described as a grey Honda or Hyundai type vehicle and the driver is described as a white female, about 40 years old, with brown and grey shoulder length hair and wearing sunglasses, police said.

A 77-year-old Jacksonville man is now jailed in a 2009 hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old woman crossing Edgewood Avenue South.
James Joseph Williamson was transferred to the Duval County jail this week from Hamilton County where he had been held following a high-speed chase in April.
He is now charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death in the Dec. 11, 2009, hit-and-run. He also is charged with knowingly operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license.

WHITE PLAINS — A Mahopac High School assistant varsity wrestling coach was charged today with the Dec. 19 hit-and-run crash in White Plains that left a 23-year-old city man in critical condition.

Former “Melrose Place” actress Amy Locane pleaded not guilty in Superior Court today in the wake of her indictment last month on charges related to a fatal drunk driving crash in the township.
Locane, 39, of Hopewell, faces first-degree aggravated manslaughter and third-degree assault by auto charges. She was arrested in June after she crashed her Chevy Tahoe into a Mercury Milan that was turning into the driveway of a Cherry Hill Road home.
